The Gospel reading of Lazarus’ resurrection, though it is more an awakening or revival – according to the first words of Christ addressed to the Apostles, than a true resurrection – is explained by the Holy Fathers of the Church from different perspectives. I am only interested in the perspective of the personal relationship between the God-Man Christ and Martha, Mary and Lazarus. And, what significance does their personal relationship have for all of us.
Throughout the Gospel reading for today (see John 11: 1–45), it is mentioned several times in various ways that Christ Jesus loved Martha and her sister, and Lazarus, and even wept for them.
The questions that everyone could ask themselves are: Does He only love them in that way or does He also love me and cry for me? Why is it not written in the Holy Gospel that He also loved some others, who are mentioned by name, and that He wept for them? One may even ask themself: Why does He not love me that way and does He not cry for me?

Евангелието за Лазаровото воскресение, иако тоа е повеќе будење или оживување – според првите Христови зборови упатени кон Апостолите, отколку вистинско воскресение, е објаснувано од Светите oтци на Црквата од различни перспективи. Мене ме заинтересира само од перспектива на личните односи меѓу Богочовекот Христос и Марта, Марија и Лазар. И, какво значење тој нивен меѓусебен личен однос има за сите нас.
Во текот на денешното евангелие (види: Јован 11, 1–45), неколкупати, на најразличен начин, се спомнува дека Христос Исус ја сакаше Марта, и сестрата нејзина, и Лазар, па дури и дека заплака заради нив.
Прашањето што секој би можел да си го постави е: само нив така ги сака или и мене ме сака и плаче за мене? Зошто во Светото Евангелие не е напишано дека и некои други, исто така, поименично ги сакал и дека и за нив заплакал? Дури, некој може да си постави и прашање: зошто мене така не ме сака и не плаче за мене?

Today we celebrate the memory of the annunciation when the Archangel Gabriel came to Mary and announced the delightful news, the good news that she would conceive in her womb and give birth to a son. But that son would not be an ordinary man, but would be the Son of God and the Son of Man. That is, the word of God, the Son of God will become incarnate in a human womb and receive human flesh, becoming equal to us in everything, except for sin, so that through Him we may receive the salvation of the world.
This is the moment when the realisation of the dispensation of salvation begins, and all of this happened entirely due to one single person, the likes of which has not been seen again throughout the entire history of humanity, and that is Mary; the Holy Virgin Mary. She who loved God and was so pure, immaculate, that she was worthy to receive God into her womb and give birth to Christ the Saviour, the God-Man Jesus Christ, through Whom the salvation of the entire human race was brought forth.

Денеска го празнуваме споменот на благовестието кога Архангел Гаврил дошол при Марија и ја соопштил благата вест, добрата вест дека таа ќе зачне во утробата и ќе роди син. Но тој син нема да биде обичен, туку ќе биде син Божји и син човечки. Односно словото Божјо, синот Божји, ќе се воплоти во човечка утроба и ќе добие човечко тело, ќе стане во се еднаков со нас, освен во гревот, за да преку Него го добиеме спасението на светот.
Ова е моментот кога започнува реализацијата на домостројот на спасението, а сето тоа се случило само заради една единствена личност, која што не се повторила низ целата историја на човештвото, а тоа е Марија, Света Дева Марија. Која што го возљубила Бога и била толку чиста, пречиста, што била и достојна за во својата утроба го прими Бог и да ни го роди Христос Спасителот, Богочовечокот Исус Христос, преку Кого дојде спасението на сиот човечки род.

This great Archangel of God is celebrated on March 26. On this day however, he is celebrated and honoured for his appearances and miracles throughout the entire history of man’s salvation. It is believed that this celebration was first established on Mount Athos in the ninth century, during the reign of the Emperor Basil and the Empress Constantina Porphyrogenitus and Patriarch Nicholas Chrysoverges, on the occasion of the appearance of the Archangel Gabriel in a cell near Karyes where he wrote on a stone tablet with his finger, the hymn to the Birth-giver of God, “Worthy It is meet,” [Dostojno Jest Axion Estin]. As a result of this, even today, this cell is called the cell of “Axion Estin.” In connection with this, other appearances of the Archangel Gabriel are also commemorated: the appearance to Moses while he was tending the flock of Jethro and, at which time, he explained to this great one called of God, how the world was created and all the rest which Moses recorded in his Book of Creation (Genesis); his appearance to the Prophet Daniel and revealing to him the mystery of future kingdoms and of the coming of the Saviour; his appearance to St. Ann and the promise that she will give birth to a daughter, the All-blessed and All-pure Holy Virgin Mary; the very brief appearance to the Holy Virgin while she lived in the Temple in Jerusalem; the appearance to Zacharias the High Priest and the tidings concerning the birth of John the Forerunner and the severe punishment of Zacharias with dumbness because he did not believe his words; again, the appearance to the Holy Virgin in Nazareth and informing Her of the good news of the conception and the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ; the appearance to the righteous Joseph; the appearance to the shepherds near Bethlehem; the appearance to the Lord Himself in the Garden of Gethsemane when he strengthened our Lord as a man prior to His passion; the appearance to the myrrh-bearing women and so forth.

Овој голем Божји архангел се празнува на 26 март. На денешен ден пак, се слават и чествуваат неговите чуда и јавувања низ целата историја на човечкото спасение. Се смета дека оваа слава е востановена најпрво на Света Гора во 9 век, за време на царевите Василиј и Константин Порфирородните и на патријархот Никола Хрисоверг, а по повод јавувањето на овој архангел во една келија близу до Кареја, каде што со прст на камен ја испиша песната кон Пресвета Богородица „Достојно ест“. Заради овој настан таа келија и денес се нарекува келијата „Достојно ест“. Во оваа прилика се приспомнуваат и останатите јавувања на архангелот Гавриил: кога му се јави на Мојсеј кој во свое време го чуваше стадото Јоторово, а нему архангелот како на Божји избраник му соопшти како е создаден светот, кое Мојсеј подоцна и го запиша во Книгата на Постанокот; кога му се јави на пророкот Даниил и му ја објави тајната за идните царства и за доаѓањето на Спасителот; јавувањето на Света Ана кога ѝ благовестеше со ветувањето дека ќе Ја роди преблагословената и Пречиста Дева Марија; многукратното јавување на Пресветата Дева додека Таа пребиваше во храмот ерусалимски; кога му се јави на првосвештеникот Захариј и го извести за раѓањето на Св. Јован Предвесник и за казната на немост што ќе го постигне Свети Захариј затоа што не им поверува на зборовите на архангелот; кога повторно ѝ се јави на Пресветата Дева во Назарет и Ѝ благовестеше за зачнувањето и раѓањето на Господ Исус Христос; јавувањето на праведниот Јосиф; јавувањето на пастирите кај Витлеем; Му се јави и на Самиот Господ во Гетсиманската градина, кога Господ како човек беше поткрепуван од овој архангел пред страдањето; кога им се јави на жените Мироносици итн.
