A Few Simple Remarks – Metropolitan of Strumica, Naum

Proud psyche (reasoning) cannot rely on trust in God, humility and obedience to the spiritual father, i.e. It does not want to grow, mature and learn in God and through God, but by itself and through itself, and, that is why it needs new information and a lot of it, as well as knowledge, upon which it is solely reliant.

But, accurate information on many important issues, which it needs in order to think and to make a decision, is often not available to it. Thus, many times, the proud psyche finds itself in the gap of disaccord (discrepancy) between the weight and complexity of the topic it deals with, and, the availability of relevant information about it.

There is objective and subjective unavailability of information.

It is one thing to get to the information directly, it is another thing to get to it indirectly, and, thirdly, for personal experience to be the source information. Personal experience can be from the position of a user and/or from the position of a producer of the subject matter on which you are informing yourself.

Often the personal experience requires a lot of time to verify the information. This lack of time to verify the information casts doubt on it.

People do not even have the necessary tools to establish the veracity of the information, i.e. they have no enlightenment of their mind, with the gift of the prayer of the mind in the heart.

They are usually attracted to the information that reflects their innermost thoughts. The religious sociopath feeds on spreading bad information, which frightens religious neurotics as well as passive religious sociopaths, whilst at the same time attracting their attention to himself.

After these few illustrations of observed deficiencies about the informational process, everyone, who is even slightly normal would ask themselves the question: “Well, where does that self-confidence of some people in the public presentation of their opinions come from, after such a flawed informational process? Such self-confidence is manifested only by sociopaths.

Man is also a medium, i.e. he is an instrument for transmitting information. The more defiled the heart and the darker the mind is, the worse the quality and the more inaccurate the information is. That is why there is so much hysteria in the public life.

It is bad to be overwhelmed with unnecessary information, and to overlook the necessary ones. People are closed to forms of information that come from the union and relationship with God, which comes from compassion for others, as well as caring for nature, and are open to those forms of information which nurture their passions.

For some people, something is very wrong.
