Do we distinguish from whom the information comes? – Metropolitan of Strumica, Mr Nahum
~+~
Everything is information, at the beginning of everything is information – the Hypostatic Word of God. The gospel we heard today reminds me of this. God created everything through His Word and everything is saved through His incarnate Word.
We condemn ourselves, if with our deeds, we fall away from the One through whom we were created and Who is the meaning of our existence, from the God-Man Christ. Everything is information, our problem lies with how we accept it and whether we distinguish the source of that information – is it from God, angels, demons, or is it from humans?
The difference is that when we accept God’s information be it through an angel, a man or directly, we simultaneously accept God’s uncreated energy, and when we accept demonic information through a man or directly, we do not accept demonic energy, but we remain without God’s energy – which for us means death; first and foremost, spiritual death.
It is very important for us to personally adopt that uncreated energy of God, and not to receive it extraordinarily and temporarily; to be able to say that God’s energy is also ours. The Lord Himself confirms this when He says: “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.”
